Most challenging project?
Every project comes with its own unique challenges, so to create a design that works and comes together nicely for a client in the end really excites me. I would say working on jobs for family and friends most challenging and frustrating of all!!
How long have you been making clients’ lives more beautiful?
From a very young age – growing up I would always re design the interior spaces of my family home and helping friends with design ideas for their own homes. After studying Interior Design in College and Architectural Design & Technology in University, on my graduation day I had an interview with an Architectural firm where I worked for 6 years and here I am still pursuing my passion and making clients dreams a reality.
Why did you get into architectural design?
In college when I studied Interior Design they introduced a module to the course which was Architecture. I LOVED it. The tutor could see I really had a passion for it and suggested I apply for a course in Architecture. So I did and never looked back again!
Previous work experience?
While I was studying Architectural Design & Technology in Cardiff, I did placement in London for a short time with my twin sister. We worked on a unique rear extension to a terraced Victorian townhouse. When I graduated with a 2:1 in Architectural Design & Technology BSc (Hons) I worked for an Architectural firm for 6 years. I covered a lot of Commercial and Residential projects from new builds to extensions. Large and small developments and lots of barn conversions/renovations. I was producing full working drawings and co ordinating work with other consultants which then lead me to become the office Technical Manager.
